Selection Process:The selection shall be done on the basis of written exam followed by personal interview. Kolkata and Bhuvaneswar are the written test centres. All the selected candidates will undergo one year training . On successful completion of training the Diploma Trainee shall be posted as Junior Engineer.

Application Fees :An application fee of Rs. 200/- is payable by candidates belonging to General and OBC category (No fee for SC/ ST/PH candidates) through a non-refundable crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of ‘Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.’ payable at Kolkata .

Application should be in the following format in his/ her own handwriting and should affix a passport size photograph. SC/ ST and OBC candidates need to submit the photocopy of the Caste Certificate along with application form. The envelope superscribed as "Application for the post of Diploma Trainee (Electrical) or Diploma Trainee (Civil) or Junior Technician Trainee" (Strike out which is applicable) so as to reach on or before 29th February 2008 to the following address :
