Oracle DBA

Job Description:
• Install new versions of the Oracle RDBMS and its tools and any other tools that access the Oracle database.
• Creates and maintains all databases required for development, testing and production
• Performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the databases
• Plans and implements backup and recovery of the Oracle database.
• Implements and enforces security for all of the Oracle Databases.
• Create new database users as required.
• Administers all database objects, including tables, clusters, indexes, views, sequences, packages and procedures.
• Assists with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objects.
• Troubleshoots issues related to database
• Maintaining archived data on tape.
• Backing up and restoring the database.
• Creating oracle database scripts and setting the crontab.
• Monitoring the crontab jobs.
• Monitoring the Backup schedules.
• Install the oracle Patch set.
• Oracle Database Cloning using RMAN / Hot Backup / Cold Backup.
• Exp / Imp Backup for user level and table level.
• Creating DBLINK for creating inter connection between the Databases.
• Performs ongoing tuning of the database instances.
• Using Automatic Workload Repository for performance gathering.
• Oracle 10g ASM Setup and Configuration on Linux.
• Oracle 10g RAC.

Weblogic Administrators

Role and Responsibilities:
• Good understanding of Weblogic Architecture.
• Knowledge in JMS, J2EE, JDBC, Security and connection pool and various components in Weblogic server.
• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems in production and development environments.
• Shell Scripting and Perl programming ability.
• An understanding of network and security issues for the provision of Weblogic Support on Linux OS, along with troubleshooting capabilities.
• Understanding of DNS, NIS, NFS, SMTP.
