Job Summary:Drive & contribute to Sun's engineering relationship with ISVs. Working as part of the ISV Engineering ASAZ organization, delivering the highest level of Technical Support for ISV/SI partners developing/migrating applications on the Sun software stack. Enable adoption of key Sun technologies (Solaris, compilers, processors, benchmarking, sizing etc.) across ISV product line, realizing technical projects to demonstrate their applicability in diverse computing environments. Act as liaison to product engineering groups, driving resolution of problems affecting ISV and providing feedback on future directions. Act as an advocate of ISV issues to software and hardware product groups within Sun.


Duties & Responsibilities

* In-depth research into Software problems and perform problem isolation and resolution, using system software and diagnostics tools. Provide technical support of software partners during application development and porting
* Analysis, debugging of logs, Source Code, crash dumps etc. and suggest fixes.
* Continuous development of technology skills and product expertise in the areas of Solaris OE & JES technology.
* Communicate with Sun Sustaining/Product teams to help resolve partner issues. Act as a liaison for higher levels of technical support and manage technical escalation.
